Acoustic Recording Techniques Using Ableton and Health and Safety in the studio 12 /5 /16

Today we used the Ableton music software alongside the Ableton push pad to create beats. I enjoyed doing this as it meant that I was in control of how the beat sounded and that i could add whatever i wanted to add to it

Here i was experimenting with Ableton push pad to develop beats. I found it easy to use and i found it enjoyable because also i find it easy to audition different sounds which is good for song writing.

Health and safety in the recording studio

Trip hazards: These trip hazards can be wires that have not been tucked away, they could be pieces of equipment that have been left on the floor. To resolve it just put any object away and tidy and tuck wires away.

Noise: playing music to loud or using an instrument too loud can damage the ears. To resolve limit the volume and don’t play loud music for long periods of time this also includes headphones

Spillages: spillages can cause electrical hazards, destroy equipment and become a slip hazards this could be caused by a spilled drink in the studio. To resolve don’t allow drinks in the studio and if spillages do occur then mop up and leave a wet floor sign.

Live electrical wires: live wires can cause electric shocks and seriously injure someone these wires should be replaced of fixed with electrical tape
